Honestly, kinda surprised so many people hate the kids when they probably dont even fully understand the depths and torment of cults. I understand this is an extreme prank but also i doubt they understood the physical and mental effects it would have. I bet they just wanted to scare her off or make her think she was going crazy.

7th continent? Shouldn't it be the 8th continent? Or have you forgotten, Asia and Europe are separate continents? Along with Australia being its own and Antarctica, Africa, North America and South America? Notice how I have 7 different continents listed? Which would make the "plastic island" the Eighth continent. Why do people do that? While you may not be a shark expert, you may not be a basic Earth science or Geological Expert either.

It really was a brilliant show but I was and still am worried that because parts of it are fictionalized that'll be used to dismiss the entirety of what is an incredibly important story. The "based on true events" affect in Hollywood films where people see that phrase and just assume 99% of it is dismissible.

After seeing YMS's review of the movie, it's mind blowing that anyone thinks it's good. And completely unbelievably that anyone thinks it's real.

I only recently watched Bly Manor and mostly I just hated the Romance of Certain Old Clothes which I found disappointing, the idea and the story is so cool and intriguing to me, but I can not stand the repetition and it's straight up all I can think about when I think of the show. Which sucks, the actual story is so cool and I do love it but I hated hearing "and she woke and she paced and she slept" or whatever. I know it's a literary tool but it was so painful and felt like a waste of time. Like the ending is beautiful and the actual story is insane, but all I remember is the phase I had drilled into my head that makes me kind of hate the show despite it being one of my favourite episodes storywise.

Totally overrated the entire series. James Cameron just wanted to show this world he made up and had to squeeze in a story. I don't get this hype about avatar. I remember being dissapointed when I first saw it.

Honestly, i love Erins closing monolog. It's the most beautiful description of an ego death, the realisation that there is no true separation of the individual and the universe. I assume Flanigan wrote this after a heavy pschedelic breakthrough.

I feel like not enough attention is payed to honoring survivors of being stalked by women. I remember in middle school, everyone's hormones were raging, and all the girls did some stalker shit to be around their crush. Then as we grew up, for the most part, that shit died off. But there are still like 3 girls I remember who didn't let that behavior go and they were so cavalier about it. "So I drove by his house last night and saw him through the window" like NO STOP RIGHT THERE I DON'T WANT TO HEAR MORE. Can't imagine being on the other end of that considering how patriarchy fucks up the response to abuse when men are the survivors. Don't get me wrong, patriarchy fucks shit up for us women, I'm a survivor of rape, but for the most part unless you have your head up your ass, people seem to understand that concept. But under patriarchy, you are rewarded for being callous and dominating. So having to face other men, asking to care about you being forced into submission is justttttt... tricky. Remember y'all, feminism fights patriarchy, not men. Men are also victims of patriarchy and its our job to bare witness and honor their pain, keeping it in mind as we fight this oppressive system.
